Builders in the Trenches: Buttonmash, the creator who stayed and shipped
Around 37,000 memes launch on pump.fun every day. Most creators don't wait to see what happens: in our data, 65% of launches are followed by another launch from the same wallet within 24 hours.
But some creators stay. Over the last week, launches from creators who didn't launch anything else for three days graduated 4.2% of the time, against 2.3% for everyone. Staying doesn't guarantee anything. It does change the odds.
So this series is about the people behind those launches. Not the charts. The work.
What Buttonmash is
Buttonmash is a small platform where every token gets its own game. You launch a token, a room opens with a playable game, and an AI game developer reshapes it into yours while everyone watches it write the code, line by line. There's a Flappy Bird challenge of the day, an arcade leaderboard, and a feed of the games being built.
$MASH is the platform's own token. New tokens can trade against it instead of SOL, and holding enough of it gives you an extra build request when you launch. It's a modest role, but it's a real one, written on the site, with the contract address shown in full.
What made us stop
Three things, really. The creator never launched another meme. The product is there and you can use it. And the site says, plainly, that Buttonmash doesn't vet the tokens launched on it and that tokens are highly risky. That's not marketing. That's someone being honest with their users, and on pump.fun it's rarer than it should be.
We also liked the idea itself. Most "utility" memes promise a product someday. This one starts with a game you can play right away, and makes the building part of the show.
What we're not sure about
The team is anonymous and there's no public roadmap. The token's role is real but small: perks, not a reason to exist. And while the trading is real and spread across many small holders, the meme has been sitting around the middle of its bonding curve for days.
This is not a buy list. We describe what a creator has done, not what a token will do. Memecoins are extremely risky and most go to zero. We have no position in $MASH and no relationship with its creator. Facts as of 14 October 2026.
